Dr. Melissa Soza Fees

Melissa Soza Fees, Ph. D, is a clinical psychologist and the founder of StrengthsLearning - an organization focused on providing individualized solutions for educators, parents and students.

Dr. Fees combines the best of positive psychology with as a certified coach for two powerful and proven frameworks that enable human flourishing including Design Your Life (DYL) & Gallup Strengths. Her work with organizations of all types combines deep expertise and practical insights that enable individuals and organizations to benefit from a strengths-based mindset.

Dr. Fees is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialties in child & adolescent psychology and school neuropsychology. An Arizona native, Dr. Fees graduated from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University while attending on a Leadership Scholarship. She completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Joint Doctoral Program UCSD/SDSU and her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral work at Harvard Medical School.

From 2017 - 2021, Dr. Fees served as board chair of Catholic Education Arizona, the leading education tax-credit organization that awards more than $20 million in needs-based funding for families seeking a Catholic Education, is founding member of the Catholic Leadership Initiative of the Diocese of Phoenix and is director of Spitzer Center.

Dr. Fees has been featured within the USA Today Networks “Storytellers Project” where she shares a powerful cultural story connecting food and family with her personal and professional journey.
